Mission

The Colorado Public Policy Institute brings together basic and applied research to encourage effective public problem solving about the connections among agriculture, environment, and people. The Institute:

  • Promotes access to credible information;
  • Creates and facilitates partnerships for building regional, state, and local community capacity;
  • Develops and facilitates interdisciplinary research, technical assistance, and decision-making approaches.

These areas of focus are also the values that the Institute strives to reflect in all programs and projects. As part of fulfilling its mission, one of the goals of the Institute is to develop, use, and be respected as an advocate for interdisciplinary approaches for identifying and addressing the public policy focused on the connections among multiple policy domains. This goal is met through the development of white papers, policy research, program evaluation, conferences and workshops.
