Colorado Statewide Health InitiativesBlue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform. In the 2006 Colorado legislative session, Senate Bill 06-208 was enacted. The law created a Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform for the purpose of studying and establishing health care reform models to expand health care coverage and to decrease health care costs for Colorado residents.

Mental Health Disparities in Colorado. The policy brief addresses the need for the provision of quality mental health care for individuals from all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Based on an extensive literature review, input from community members and an advisory group comprised of Colorado community mental health leaders, as well as input from participants in the 2006 Colorado Mental Health Disparities Summit, the Brief sets forth policy recommendations to strengthen care.
Racial and Ethnic Disparities in the State of Colorado 2005. A surveillance report about the population differences in health outcomes, this document also explores the causes of these health disparities.
